POLICE are advising people to check the security of their business premises, homes and outbuildings after burglaries in Hatherleigh.
A burglary occurred at the Co-op store in Bridge Street, Hatherleigh, on Thursday evening, September 5, between 10.30pm and 11.15pm.
The local police are asking for people with information on this to come forward, quoting reference CR/080756/19.
Also in Hatherleigh that night, thieves stole power tools from a shed at an address in the town, cutting the padlock off the lock.
The incident took place some time between midnight on Thursday, September 5 and 6.20am on Friday, September 6, crime reference CR/081529/19.
PCSO Lisa Smith, who covers the beat, said: ‘Police would like to hear from anyone who may have seen anything suspicious on that evening or in the early hours of the morning.
‘Also they would like people to ensure they have locked away any valuable items and remain vigilant at all times.’
