ANTI-SOCIAL behaviour is causing a problem in the area behind Lidl beside the River Ockment in Okehampton, police report.

‘This is being addressed by extra patrols by neighbourhood officers, but also relies on members of the public calling the police when they witness this happening,’ said PCSO Smith.

‘This will help the police to gather evidence of any possible offences, which can then be dealt with appropriately. Recent reports have been complaining of excessive noise, littering, fires being set and urinating in the river. This kind of behaviour will not be tolerated and those who are caught doing this will be dealt with robustly.’
