THE sports stars of Boasley Cross Primary will look the part now as they now have new sports kits.

The school and its PTA raised £1,700 over the last three years for the purchase of new football and netball kits, and tracksuits. The Manor House Hotel donated £600 for the football kit, and Titan Computers in Exeter donated £165 for the new netball kits.

To raise the rest of the money for two dozen new tracksuits, the whole school did a sponsored walk on the moor and returned to Sourton Village Hall for a cream tea organised by the Friends of Boasley Cross School. The FOBCS also raised money at an easter concert and the school sports day.

Nick Miles, a member of the PTA, said: 'It has been a long time coming and a lot of work, but the children look great in their new sports gear.'
