OKEHAMPTON Community Recreation Association holds its 20th annual meeting on Monday, January 21.

All are welcome to attend the meeting at Okehampton Conservative Club at 7.45pm. The group is keen to hear from people wanting to get involved in a variety of ways and move local recreation and sport for all onto a new level.

In 2012, OCRA delivered activity to more than 5,000 people of all ages and abilities through clubs, events and sessions in 16 different communities. They support more than 60 local clubs and groups to develop activity and in the last nine years have delivered on a wide range of local facilities projects.

The meeting will give a short update on a diverse range of projects that ran throughout 2012, and the Okehampton Sports Hub Project, including the construction of the new multi-sport and community pavilion.

OCRA manager Stuart Lord said: 'Like the games makers that made so much impact during the Olympics, you can join many other local people that have a huge impact on the local sport and recreation scene by getting involved with OCRA.'
