RESIDENTS of Drewsteignton are all geared up for Teignton Fayre, which takes place in the village square this Saturday (June 6).
The annual event, which starts at 5pm, helps to raise money for charity and local good causes, with this year's nominated charity being Cancer Research UK.
There are all sorts of traditional and new attractions designed for all ages including a Punch and Judy Show and a bouncy castle through to a slippery pole and a human fruit machine. There is also plenty of food on offer including a hog roast and barbecue as well as vegetarian alternatives, puddings and cakes. Later in the evening, The Johnny Fuller Band will keep the crowd entertained.
Sam Peirce, a member of the Teignton Fayre committee, said: 'Teignton Fayre is a lively event, fun for visitors and residents alike. It's also a great opportunity to bring the community together. Events such as this help to keep the village alive.'
