AN art project for Year 8 students at Okehampton College has also had them thinking about the environment.

The year group has recently completed a project based on the works of Austrian artist Friedensreich Hundertwasser and Englishman John Piper. After carefully analysing the themes and styles of both artists, students had to produce a poster that encourages people to consider their environment, particularly issues like recycling.

The 25 best posters were selected to be reproduced as both A4 posters and smaller postcards to be displayed around the college.

The 25 winners and 40 runners-up posters will be displayed at an exhibition on March 5, when the college will also be launching its 'Stop the Litter' campaign.
