OKEHAMPTON’S first business show held recently at the town’s rugby club has been a hailed a big success.
Okehampton Area Business Social (OABS) held its first ‘Okehampton Open for Business’ event on September 11 and 16 local businesses exhibited, including organisations in finance, business support, marketing, IT, clothing, personal development and photography.
Graphic designer Alex Thomas, one of the OABS founders, said: ‘It was a fantastic day and great to see so many people coming along, making connections with new people and then sticking around for the afternoon, the place had a fantastic atmosphere with lots of people chatting and doing business.’
Sharon O’Brien of the Midlife Miracle said: ‘It was lovely to get to meet other local business owners. The whole vibe of the day was collaborative and supportive and was a refreshing experience.’
