OKEHAMPTON Medical Centre has welcomed a new doctor on a six-month training secondment as a GP registrar.

Dr Lisa Lannon graduated from Newcastle University in 2011 and enjoys outdoor activities, including running.

Dr Tim Watson said: ‘Lisa has fitted very well into the team and all the partners have been impressed with her knowledge and how she interacts with patients. With young doctors such as Lisa, the future is bright. Lisa is making a positive contribution to the practice and the patients we serve.’

Dr Lannon said: ‘The welcome and mentoring I have received since I joined has been excellent. I am certainly learning a great deal about GP practice and looking forward to my remaining months at the centre.’
