SECOND half goals from Alex Bowden and Lloyd Copp dumped Chagford out of the cup, at the first time of asking.

With Bow in the same division, the visitors were given a rude awakening to the neccessities of Devon and Exeter League football.

Chagford would have to be the first to admit they played well below their capabilities, their best opportunities being when Miller's lob hit the bar and Scarry's long punt being tipped over by his opposite number in the Bow goal.

Bow go into round two with Chagford's wishes for every success.

TWO goals down in the first ten minutes, Chagford Reserves rallied in the second half of this round one but failed to progress further than round one.

In the words of one player 'we were dire in the first half, reformed at half-time and despite falling further behind should have got them to extra-time at least.'

Goals from Martin Haxton after Ralph's flick-on and David Jordan, from Philpott's pass, gave hope. Despite laying seige to the hosts' goal, Chagford were unable to capitalise and made an early exit from the competition.
