A TEAM of six friends walked more than 13 miles while undertaking a golfing challenge to raise money for Macmillan.
Martin Watts, Kevin Penna, Paul Budworth, Terry Burtrum, Graham Watts and Chris Lye took on 72 holes in one day in a bid to raise money for the cancer charity and as a memorial for Martin Watts’ father Anthony John Watts and Yasmine Penna, who both died from cancer recently.
The team raised £950 from the challenge, which saw them walk 24,048 yards or 13.66-miles.
The longest putt of four yards was by Paul Budworth, the longest drive of 180 yards was also to Paul Budworth.
Nearest the pin went to Chris Lye and the shortest shot at 0.3 yards also went to Paul.
Martin Watts said: ‘We had great fun on the day and very glad it was well supported.’
