LION president Walter Jory and 105SW district governor Lion Lesley Clarke have presented a Melvin Jones Fellowship award to Okehampton businessman and Chamber of Trade stalwart Donald Rooke.

Donald has been bestowed with the award for his significant contributions to the Okehampton community — he can often be seen watering and maintaining the annual hanging baskets and putting up banners or bunting in Fore Street. He helps to co-ordinate Edwardian Evening and has been fully involved with the Christmas lights. Donald received the award at the recent charter anniversary dinner.
