CHAGFORD holiday company Helpful Holidays has been congratulated on its latest prize by Central Devon MP Mel Stride.

Mr Strid­e visited the company on March 7 to congratulate them on winning the Which? award for recommended provider of cottage and villa bookings for 2012 and 2013.

Mr Stride met with general manager Moray Bywater and other members of the team's 30-strong staff.

Mr Stride said: 'It was very useful to meet Moray, not only to congratulate her for running an award-winning business but also to have an indepth conversation about issues facing the tourism industry both in Devon and across the country.'

Moray Bywater said: 'Mel arrived just as we were completing a mailing to 10,000 customers using our 30-strong local helper base.

'It was good to show him around the business and discuss some of the key challenges we face.'
