OKEHAMPTON U16s rugby team started off strongly which put Crediton off their stride with Marcus Garrett scoring within two minutes and duly converted by Liam Wilkins.
Josh Bush, having just come back on after a cut to his eyebrow was patched up, then scored Okes' second try. Dean Folland and Luke Dennis both scored tries after some fine running by the backs, with Dean Abrams and Steven Paul forcing over the try line with the power of the forwards. Conor Kendrew then scored a fine try at the end of the first half.
The second half was much closer in performance. With good support play by Steven Paul, tackling by Jake Barber and rucking by Josh, Dean Folland scored his second try with Conor getting his second and third. Deane Andrew scored the last try of the match. Jason Winser did well on his debut as did John Malseed.
Crediton bravely defended the barrage of offence from the Okes producing some great counter attacks but not quite able to produce a finish.
