THERE will be advice and support for people with dementia and their carers at an event at Charter Hall in Okehampton on Saturday, May 12.

The event, from 9am to 12 noon, offers information and advice from a number of sources of support, from community groups to emergency services.

It is being organised by the Forget Me Not Café, which meets on the last Tuesday afternoon of each month in the community room at the Glen in Castle Road.

The café offers people with memory problems and their carers the chance for a cup of tea, cake and a chat with others in a similar position in an accepting and friendly environment. The Forget Me Not Café is next open on May 29, from 2-4pm. Email [email protected] for more information.
