I AM a resident of Okehampton, and have young children. This morning our two-year-old was walking to our car that is parked on the road. He stepped in some dog mess that had been carelessly left by a dog, obviously owned by an inconsiderate owner.
We were not aware of this until we strapped him in his car seat and he managed to put his hand on his shoe and then into his mouth.
As an adult I can only imagine how disgusting that must have been for him. We dealt with that as best as we could, but later he was violently sick a couple of times. All this down to an inconsiderate owner of a dog
I am sure there is more than one owner that allows their dog to foul the paths and verges in this way.
Please think of the image of a two-year-old being sick and imagine the taste in your mouth. Would they leave a poisounous chemical out on display for their children or grandchildren to touch, taste etc?
No, I don't think you would be that foolish, however, that is what they are doing by allowing their dog to foul the paths of Okehampton.
