AN energy company near Exeter has expanded its coverage into the Okehampton area after acquiring a local business that supplies, installs and repairs oil-fired boilers, central heating systems and oil tanks.

Oil Services South West was established in 1994 by Alan Oram and his wife Christine. Supported by two engineers they built up the business. Looking to retirement Alan decided to sell the business. A promotional campaign was conducted targeting owners of similar businesses to see if they were looking for expansion via acquisition.

After several meetings, Sam Fice, who along with his wife Nicola is the owner of Energy Systems (SW) Ltd based in Exeter, were chosen to acquire Oil Services South West. Sam and Nicole’s business now covers most of the county.

Sam said: ‘Whilst we continue to grow we maintain our professional, personal, friendly and reliable service that our customers have grown to expect from our team. From the beginning of November this year the business will be employing six engineers to carry out the servicing, maintenance and installation of boilers, heating systems and controls covering both domestic and commercial clients.’
