A Family Fun Day was held in Okehampton recently, raising £502.56 for local good causes.

During the successful day, laid on by Fletcher Foxx Inflatables, children were able to have fun with bouncy castles and games, play with toys and take part in face painting, sports, outdoor activities, arts and crafts, a colouring competition and more.

Fletcher Foxx partnered with OCRA and Adventure Okehampton to ensure a diverse offering plus there was tea, coffee and cake.

Local professional close harmony trio The Hummingbirds performed two sets and DJ Jessie Lou went along to DJ a 30-minute set for everyone.

North Dartmoor Search and Rescue, along with Devon Air Ambulance attended to talk with people about what they do and children took up a scavenger hunt in order to find out answers to questions and win prizes.

A raffle was drawn later in the day by the mayor of Okehampton Janet Carpenter.

The funds raised have been divided between Devon Air Ambulance (£200), North Dartmoor Search and Rescue (£200) and North Tawton Primary Foundation Unit (£50.56).

There is still £50 to be decided... so readers’ help is needed. Contact the organisers on their Facebook page www.facebook.com/fletcherinflatables/ and let them know which local group or organisation could benefit from a small donation and how the money would be used.
