Waitrose in Okehampton has shown its support for the arts with a £260 cheque for the Red Spider Company.

The amateur dramatic company held its latest production, Fantastic Mr Fox at Lifton from February 8 to 10. The production retold the classic children’s story by?Roald Dahl of Mr Fox plotting against the three wicked farmers Boggis, Bunce and Bean to steal their supplies and feed his family and friends.

Directly by?Gill Taylor, the play involved children from?Lifton and Lew Trenchard schools, who prepared for months for the production.
