THE Oke Kids Show in Okehampton last week was deemed a huge success by its organisers.
Catherine Gillard and Lucy Fisher who run the Oke Kokey Kids put on a show in the Charter Hall last Saturday week and were inundated with visitors.
People flocked to the exhibition which saw a variety of tradespeople and professionals who were on hand to offer advice at the first Okehampton children's show.
Blowpipe Clothing, Munchkins Clothing, Usbourne Books and Totsy Turvy were just some of the trade stands at the show.
The raffle raised £50 for Barnados. The winners of the raffle were: 1, Kirsty Loader, who won a Heavenly back massage; 2, Sheryl Hockin, Starchild Shoes from Oke Kokey Kids; 3, Niki Sculpher, 50% off a Tania Millard Photography Session; 4, Jackie Dawes, Waie Inn family voucher; 5, Mel Priday, Waie Inn family voucher; 6, Louise from NCT, child's wet cut at Quinns, and 7, Mrs Neal, a box of chocolates.
Lucy and Catherine expressed thanks to Waitrose who donated 50 Bag for Lifes, raisins and wet wipes to the show's goody bags, and to In-House, Heavenly and the Nappy Barn for their 10% discount vouchers and Cinnabar Photography for its portrait sittings.
Lucy said: 'We would like to say an extra special thank you to Sue Howard for her fantastic face painting and giving up her Saturday, and to the Shoebox Hush Puppy dog for giving out balloons and entertaining all the children.'
