OKEHAMPTON College students have been learning about drug awareness thanks to a visit from Okehampton Police and their furry friends.

PCSO Danielle Moore-Dunstan and PCSO Lisa Smith visited the college along with two police dog handlers Geoff Turner-Moore and Martin Le Blanc, and their dogs.

They visited the school as part of a wider educational input for drugs awareness, in conjunction with the Safer Schools Partnership.

The dog handlers conducted assemblies for the students in Years 7 to 11, explaining the use of police dogs within their role.
