OKEHAMPTON Excelsior Silver Band continue their twinning partnership in October when the Statdgarde Wesseling Band comes to town.
The German band come from Wesseling on the River Rhine and as the town has been twinned with West Devon for 24 years, the two bands have kept in touch during that time and paid visits to each other's home town.
Okehampton Band went to Germany in 2007 while their German counterparts have not visited West Devon since 2003.
They will be coming to Okehampton from October 9 to 15 and a joint concert will be given at Fairplace Church starting at 7.30pm on Tuesday, October 12.
The members of Okehampton Excelsior Silver Band will be hosting and entertaining their German friends but will need to finds some additional accommodation. Anyone who is able to help is asked to contact the band secretary, Julie Hood on 01837 52067.
