THE culmination of a unique charity auction event takes place this Saturday in South Tawton.
Get Changed Theatre Company was founded in 1995 and is the only theatre company in Devon for adults with learning disabilities and mental health problems.
It runs a continuous programme of drama and education projects, leading to performances in the wider community. In September the company performed a specially written rap song to delegates at the Devon Care Training Conference in Exeter.
The charity has been holding an online charity auction on their specially set up website to raise funds for their work. The auction has more than 100 items listed, with each donated by a local artist. Art enthusiasts are able to make bids online before the closing time of 4.30pm on Saturday October 29.
On this final day of the auction there will be a special auction at the Church House in South Tawton between 9.30am and 4.30pm. It will give bidders an opportunity to see the exhibited artwork, which includes filigree handmade glass by Val Hampson, and painted abstract work by Patricia Lomax. Visitors will be able to make bids in person at the exhibition.
There will also be live music, lunches and refreshments, as well as this final chance to bid for some artwork. To look at the artwork and make a bid online visit http://www.getchangedartauction.weebly.com">www.getchangedartauction.weebly.com
