GREEN power is on the agenda at the next meeting of the U3A in Okehampton.
The meeting will take place at Fairplace Church from 2.30pm on Thursday, September 25.
Hosting the meeting will be Miles and Gail Fursdain who will be telling their story of creating green energy from the natural resources so abundant on Dartmoor.
In 1995 the Fursdains identified the river running through their land as a potential source of energy and, in time, created a micro-hydro system at their moorland farm that now generates enough clean, renewable energy to supply 80 homes and is exported to the National Grid.
