THE Devon Area BJC Judo competition at Okehampton was very well attended with clubs from all over Devon taking part.
The event was a great success, giving many of the children their first chance to really test their skills in a proper contest environment. Okehampton Judo Club members represented the club well with some competent performances, demonstrating fighting spirit and good Judo etiquette.
Primaries (under 10 years old) bronze Jay Ratcliffe, Ben Bowles; silver, Hannah Harbron and Rueben Bourne.
Juniors (U16 years old): bronze: Sam Cawse, Angus Bellamy, Caleb Bourne; silver: Harriet Hawkins, Sam Drew, Henry Harbron.
Seniors (over 16 years old) bronze: Matt Jelley; silver Richard Plumpton.
