IT'S time to get crafty and learn new skills as families and individuals are invited to an arts and crafts day at the Winsford Centre.

This Saturday (June 19), Holsworthy Family Workshop Resource Centre (HFWRC) will provide creative workshops and activities for visitors to try, such as knitting, printing, paper-making, making willow dream-catchers, magical fairy wish pots, rag rose corsages and much more.

No skills are required to take part as experienced tutors will give demonstrations.

Sally Fulcher from HFWRC said: 'A century on from 1910, amateur makers today are wanting to explore their own individual ideas, avoiding the mass produced goods, saving money with recycling, reinventing scrap materials and reclaiming their own personal confidence through creative processes.'

The arts and crafts day is free and visitors will be able to buy an assortment of creative kits to take away. Refreshments and lunches will be on offer and Halwill WI will be selling cakes.
