RESIDENTS in Okehampton are invited to make their views known about the plans for development to the east of the town.We have to respond by October 25.

For those who prefer a face to face personal encounter I recommend an appointment with Rebecca Black from West Devon Borough Council. Her next session takes place in the Customer Services in St. James Street from 10am to 2pm on October 22.( or tel 01822  813556).

We are told that all the extra affordable housing is to be allocated to local people. Currently I am asking the question 'What is meant by local?' Rebecca Black is helping me with this enquiry and is keen to keep communications open with all of us. That is welcome news, surely.
