Police were called by the ambulance service at around 12:30pm on May 7, following reports of a man suffering a medical episode whilst behind the wheel on School Way, Okehampton by Lidl.

Police and medical professionals attended. Despite their best efforts a man in his 60s from the West Devon area was pronounced deceased at the scene.

His next of kin have been informed and a file is to be prepared for the coroner.
