SEVERAL good causes in West Devon have signed up to receive regular funding as part of West Devon Borough Council’s SeaMoor Lotto initiative, which starts in August.
The SeaMoor Lotto is a new venture being led by West Devon and South Hams councils to provide a way for good causes to raise funds.
Among the organisations already signed up to benefit from the initiative are Chagford Church of England Primary School and Pre-school, Dartmoor Zoological Society, Devon Freewheelers Emergency Voluntary Service, Hatherleigh Festival, K9 Search Dogs, Lifton Community Centre Limited Ready, Okehampton Community Recreation Association (OCRA), Okehampton and District Community Transport Group, SeaMoor Lottos Community Fund and Sticklepath and Okehampton Conservation Group (StOC).
Tickets for SeaMoor Lotto will go on sale from Wednesday, June 27 for the first public draw, which will take place on Saturday, August 4, where ticket holders will be in with the chance of winning a jackpot prize of £25,000.
