OKEHAMPTON United Charities held its annual celebration evening in the Charter Hall on December 14.

The evening, attended by around 150 people, is seen as an opportunity to celebrate the charity’s work and how it helps a wide range of local organisations and initiatives. There were musical performances throughout the night from the West Devon Roots Band, Okehampton Music Centre and Okehampton College students Ellie Joy.

There were also presentations from the Okehampton and District History Society, Men in Sheds and the Turning Tides Project; all of whom have been supported by Okehampton United Charities grants.

The whole event was compered by Andy Ewen and around 20 local groups, which have received United Charities funding since 2015, brought along displays and information on their groups.
