SO often I read details of an event/course happening in our local area only to discover that it is taking place during the working day.  

A recent example was the feature about a new group for Over 50s, starting and meeting at the Fountain Hotel.

Great, I thought, until I found the first meeting was on a Thursday morning.  

No consideration has seemingly been given to the fact that most people over 50 work and with more and more people 60+ working in some form, surely things must change?  

A plea to all organisers — if you want your event to be well attended and frequented by active members, please consider the time of the activity better (and the fact that more and more people who live in Okehampton work in Exeter so need time to get home from work).
