POLICE are appealing for information, following reports that private properties have been affected by someone firing an air rifle.

It is believed that someone in the Castle Road, Station Road or New Road area of Okehampton has been using the air rifle. 

Police say this is not an issue when used within the confines of a private property but, a report has been made, that the pellets may have been going onto and hitting other persons' properties.

A person may use an air weapon, providing the pellets do not exceed the boundaries of their own property.
