POLICE are reminding drivers to be vigilant when using their vehicles in icy conditions.

On Tuesday morning (December 12) many areas of West Devon were heavily affected by dangerous icy conditions on the roads.

Police were called to many road traffic incidents because of people not driving appropriately for the conditions.
