Okehampton branch of the Royal British Legion will hold its annual Remembrance Sunday Parade on November 9.
The parade will march from Okehampton Town Hall to the parish church where town mayor Kay Bickley will read the names of the fallen. This will be followed by two minutes' silence before the Service of Remembrance at 11am.
This year's event will commemorate the 90th anniversary of the end of the First World War when the guns fell silent on the Western Front at 11am on November 11, 1918.
The Okehampton parade will be joined by 60 members of the Royal Artillery as well as contingents from the Army Cadet Force and Air Training Corps. Others taking part include representatives of the emergency services and youth organisations.
The Royal Charter of the Royal British Legion includes the responsibility of organising the parade in order to perpetuate the memory of those who died during service with the British Armed Forces in war and peace.
The Okehampton branch welcomes people to the parade to show their support for today's soldiers, sailors and RAF personnel and to remember those who have died.
