THE final cheque presentation to give away the proceeds of the 2009 Ruby Run was made recently, when a cheque for £1,000 was presented to Hatherleigh Play Park Committee.

Gary Bush, on behalf of the Ruby Run Committee. said: 'The committee would like to thank the Ruby Run and all those who ran or walked in aid of this. They will be using the money to help finish off the park.'

Mr Bush said the second phase of the work was planned to start early March — and an official opening of the park was due to be staged on Easter Monday.

This year's Ruby Run will take place on Sunday, June 13.

The registration form will be sent out asap on receipt of the email.

This year the run will start in Holsworthy and finish in Hatherleigh.
