POLICE, ambulance and fire crews were called to a serious three-vehicle collision on the A30 at Plusha near Launceston yesterday, August 25.
The collision, involving a Toyota Estima, a Ford Sierra Cosworth and a Landrover Defender, left seven people with injuries – all of which were taken to Derriford Hospital in Plymouth to be treated.
The driver of the Toyota, a 79-year-old woman from Gunnislake, was injured and taken to hospital.
The driver of the Ford Sierra Cosworth, a 37-year-old man from St Austell, was taken to hospital and his passenger, a 34-year-old Bodmin woman, sustained serious injuries and was airlifted to hospital by air ambulance.
A third woman and three children sustained minor injuries and were all treated in hospital.
Both carriageways were closed for 30 minutes and traffic was reduced to one lane in each direction for four hours.
