RHS Garden Rosemoor is running a 'Plantsman's Day' to highlight to gardeners the benefits of hardworking trees and shrubs.

On Wednesday June 8, Andrew McIndoe, managing director of Hillier Nurseries and Garden Centres, and a renowned landscape designer, will give a talk on how best to use trees and shrubs in a garden.

This will be followed by a walk around Rosemoor to view examples of this strategy.

Andrew McIndoe is a respected gardening expert, best known as the designer of the Hillier exhibit at the Royal Horticultural Society's Chelsea Flower Show.

He has designed the stand for 19 years, winning gold each time.

He is also a horticultural writer and lecturer.
