South Zeal Utd 0
TWO missed penalties cost Zeal dear on Saturday and it seemed that the visitors could have played all day and not scored against a team whose long ball game suited a hard. bobbly pitch.
South Zeal dominated most of the possession during the game but could not put the ball in the net and Lympstone took the lead after 10 minutes when a punt hit the top of the Zeal bar and landed at the feet of one of their forwards who beat Reg Wonnacott in the goal from close range.
Then South Zeal having gone close a few times got a penalty when Harley Cann was tripped in the area but the penalty was missed.
It still seemed that Zeal were dominant enough to come back and win. Zeal were even more dominant in the second half but went two down when the home side broke and a missed tackle in the penalty area allowed a simple finish.
With 20 minutes left Robbie Sendacock was pushed over in the penalty area and again Zeal put the resulting penalty over the bar.
In the final 15 minutes although under extreme pressure the home side kept breaking on Zeal and with 10 minutes left scored when a clearance from a corner fell nicely for Lypstone to make the score 3-0.
