THE annual world war two weekend at Castle Drogo ran smoothly this year, with help from Okehampton Air Cadets.
2443 (Okehampton) Squadron ATC assisted the National Trust by co-ordinating car parking for the event. They also provided a daily display by the banner drill squad, and camped at the castle for the weekend. As a reward for their efforts, the Air Cadets flag flew from the mast atop the castle throughout the weekend.
Anyone aged 13-17 who wants to make new friends, enjoy a range of exciting activities including sports, flying and gliding, adventure training and much more, should call 01837 55044 or e-mail [email protected]">[email protected] for more details.
Alternatively you can attend a squadron meeting at their HQ on Tors Road on Monday and Thursday nights from 7pm to 9.30pm.
