There is still time to nominate local charity Gilead Foundations to receive £1,000 from insurance group Ecclesiastical’s 12 Days of Christmas giveaway.

The Gilead Foundations is based on a farm near Jacobstowe a few miles from Okehampton.

The charity offers supported living for women who have suffered difficulties in their lives to enable them to get back on their feet.

They take part in activities on the farm, including growing their own vegetables which they use in their meals.
