A?SHEBBEAR?College student who achieved the eighth highest score in the UK in the British Mathematical Olympiad Round II recently, has been invited to take part in a major event in Romania.

Sam Cappleman-Lynes has been invited to attend the International Mathematical Olympiad training week at Trinity College, Cambridge, every Easter and has now been invited to join a team of six to represent the UK in the Balkan Mathematical Olympiad in May in Romania.

This is an international competition, very much like the IMO, with about 20 countries taking part and is held two months before the IMO.
