HOW nice it was to read that Cllr Marsh was concerned about the traffic problem in Okehampton.

If my memory serves me correctly, she was one of the local councillors who could not wait to get Waitrose supermarket in our local car park which catered for coaches that brought holiday-makers. Sadly, few coaches stop here now — I wonder why? Silly of me — nowhere to park.

In my opinion, and that of many other people I have spoken to, once Waitrose took over the car park it cost Okehampton. With three supermarkets within 150 yards of each other, who is going to walk around town once they have loaded their car up with groceries?

It seems to me that once there is a problem in town they all seem to be talking about it, but nothing happens as usual.
