FIREFIGHTERS from Chagford were called out on Saturday afternoon, after reports were received concerning a tractor fire in the Broadall area.
The crew, with Commander Williams in charge, found the tractor well alight on the road on arrival.
The firefighters used a hose-reel jet and thermal imaging camera while extinguishing the blaze, which caused moderate damage to the vehicle.
They removed the tractor to a nearby farm for safety following the incident, which occurred at around 5.45pm.
l Two firecrews from the Okehampton area were called to deal with a chip pan blaze at a property in Brandize Park on Monday.
The firefighters, under the command of Station Officer Ian Donovan, used two sets of breathing apparatus while extinguishing the fire, before ventilating the kitchen area of the house. One man was treated by ambulance personnel for smoke inhalation.
