MAY I, through the medium of your paper, thank the Waitrose Community Fund. By the 'donation ' of their green tokens, shoppers in Waitrose have raised £269 for the WRVS Library Home Delivery Service.

Known colloquially as 'Books on Wheels' our volunteers choose and deliver library books for housebound people in the Okehampton area.

This gift will enable us to keep a valuable community service going. As petrol prices rise, so do the costs of this free service provided under the auspices of Devon County Libraries, but manned by WRVS volunteers.

Thank you, Waitrose, and thank you to the shoppers of Okehampton!
