Okehampton A 7
Chard B 2
HAVING had no game last week, Okehampton faced Chard 'B' looking to continue their winning form.
This on paper would mark Okehampton's hardest test as Chard were relegated from the league above last season however Chard found themselves down the bottom end of the table before this match.
The home side started the better and took a quick two nil lead through Reinier Rademaker and then Jake Lloyd.
Okehampton were in total control with Chard low on experience and morale. They scored another three before half time with Rob Yells scoring with a pin point shot and two from Alex Emuss.
In the second half Chard stuck ten men behind the ball which meant Okehampton struggled to break the away side down but the persistence of the home side was telling, Lloyd doubling his tally. Chard did put a bit of a effort in a attack and did score one when a misplaced pass from the home side found the Chard striker, who eventually found the net.
It only took a few minutes before Okehampton regained their six goal lead with Josh Balsdon scoring his 17th goal in just four league games. There was just time for Chard to get a consolation goal after a mix up with Okehampton defenders leavng the Chard striker to tap the ball in the net. Next week Okehampton face Isca 'E' at Exeter University.
Man of the match: Adam Cockayne.
