BUSINESSWOMEN in Okehampton are being encouraged to come along to a free business showcase in the town next week.

The county-wide Women Do Business event, which will be held in the Ockment Centre on Wednesday April 6, is open to women who either have, or would like to, set up their own business.

For those wishing to set up a business as an employment option, there will be information on hand about support, training and services that are available in the local area.

A choice of pre-bookable complementary business workshops will be run throughout the day.

Business stands can be booked by those who already have a business up and running that they wish to promote.

The Women Do Business programme, managed by the Community Council of Devon, already provides support, development and networking opportunities for more than 400 Devon women who run or want to set up their own business.
