Okehampton 1

ON a dismal day weather wise, Okehampton travelled to Totnes to play a Dart side on form.

Oke started strong with good link up play, and for the first 30 minutes consistently looked like they were going to score. These missed opportunities did come back to haunt them, with a mix up at the back a Dart player was left open to slot the ball home.

However, Okehampton did not drop their heads and kept pressurising for the remainder of the half but just could not put the ball in the back of the net.

With the second half came more offensive pressure from the visitors but with two quick goals from Dart the game looked beyond the lacklustre Oke side.

Okehampton men dug deep and even after having a yellow card, they still kept going. Their perserverance paid off and from an unlikely source in Joff, they scored a goal — his first of the season.

This goal invigorated Oke and they looked for more, but it just was not to be their day and they could not convert any more chances into goals, and the game was over.
