DEVON and Cornwall Police Rural Engagement Team patrolled the moor last weekend — and would like to remind the public that the green routes are not for motorbikes or vehicles.

The team, which works in partnership to protect rural communities, came across someone ‘trying out’ their bike and a 4x4 driving on a restricted bridleway.

If police find people ignoring the signs on green routes they have the power to issue a fixed penalty and in some cases the vehicle will be seized.
