THEFTS and vehicle vandalism are among the crimes to have taken place in the Okehampton area over the last ten days — see our #newsfromtheblues page in each week’s edition of the Times for more.
• BURGLARS broke into the Lidl supermarket off School Way, Okehampton, at 4.28am on Friday, January 26 and stole all the charity boxes in the store. Police are in the process of gaining access to CCTV footage. CR007608/18.
• THIEVES stole the forks from a forklift truck parked at Warracott Farm in Lifton late on the evening of Monday, January 22. Two men entered the site at 11.07pm and removed the forks, which would have a high value as scrap. CR006845/18.
• POLICE are appealing for information after a man entered the rear garden of a garden at Otter Close in Okehampton. The man entered the garden at 11.40pm on Sunday, January 21 and asked to be let in the property. He then punched a window, which broke the outside pane. CR/006381/18.
• A MAT was stolen from a shop in Red Lion Yard, Okehampton, on Monday, January 22. A group of three males and a female stole the mat; the eldest man rolled up the mat and walked off with it sometime between 3pm and 3.30pm. CR/006236/18.
• A WOMAN stole £20 worth of spirits from the Co-op in Market Street, Okehampton, at 8.05pm on January 24. CR/007756/18.
• A GREY Audi parked on Oldham Road, Hatherleigh, had three tyres slashed over a three-day period, between 10pm on January 16 and 9am on January 19 at a cost of £135. CR/007772/18.
• AN honesty box was stolen from outside a shop in the Arcade in Fore Street, Okehampton, at 1.15pm on January 22. CR/007850/18.
• A TOTAL of £50 worth of goods were stolen from a blue Honda Civic parked on St James Street in Okehampton between 2am and 2.20am on January 28. Entry was gained via the boot of the car. CR/008276/18.
• A GREEN Toyota RAV4 had a brick thrown through the windscreen while parked in Throwleigh. The incident took place between 11am and 4.20pm on January 28. CR/008365/18.
• TWO items of clothing worth £58.99 were stolen from Red Lion Yard, Okehampton, between 3.30pm and 3.45pm on January 27. CR/008495/18.
