PHOTOGRAPHS opening a window into Okehampton’s past were on display in the town library at an open evening last weekend.

The library opened on Friday night for a viewing of photographs donated to the library by Wardhayes Residential Home following its closure.

The photos are an assorted collection of historic photographs of the Okehampton area and have been digitalised by Okehampton Community Archive to add to their records.

Among those at the open evening was Okehampton town mayor Cllr Paul Vachon, a member of the community archive.
