A group of Tavistock entrepreneurs have united to launch an innovative garden franchise and specialist software administrative platform.

Keri Jones, founder and managing director of Roots Shoots & Boots Limited and Feonyx Administration Solutions Technology Limited, is working alongside Andrew and Katherine Wing of Tavistock-based Wings Accountants Limited and Hayley Perring of Leaf & Stone.

Launching in late 2026, the two connected ventures bring together horticulture, technology and a shared commitment to ethical, environmentally responsible business.

Keri works in gardens and administrating, providing garden maintenance services and designs and delivers landscaping projects throughout Devon and Cornwall.

Keri’s vision is to create a franchise network helping business people establish horticultural businesses while remaining connected to nature and communities.

The programme will support working mothers, people returning to employment or looking for flexible, meaningful careers outdoors.

“Roots Shoots & Boots has always been about more than gardening,” said Keri. “It is about people, nature and creating responsible businesses that make a positive contribution to their local communities.”

“After spending many years working in the field and running the business behind the scenes, I wanted to use that experience to help other people build sustainable horticultural businesses of their own.”

Andrew quickly recognised the potential of Keri’s vision. They soon became trusted business mentors (as well as accountants), helping develop the commercial structure behind Roots Shoots & Boots’ franchise programme.

Andrew’s commercial, legal and accountancy knowledge, combined with Katherine’s mathematical ability, organisational expertise and chartered accountancy background, helped transform the original idea into a structured business model.

The team shares a belief that commercial success should sit alongside environmental responsibility, ethical working practices and a genuine commitment to local people.

Keri recognised how much time horticultural business owners can lose to diaries, rotas, customer records, job briefs, timesheets, invoicing and other essential administration.

This inspired Feonyx Administration Solutions Technology which aims to bring every-day administration in one place, giving business owners more time to support their customers, manage teams, work outdoors and grow businesses.
